A walk through Tewkesbury will take you on a journey of the town’s history. The buildings, roads, alleyways, bridges and rivers tell the story of its past; a rich and varied heritage that shapes the town and its community today.

As an historic market town, Tewkesbury has been an important hub for traders to sell their wares for many hundreds of years. That legacy continues through to the present day with regular weekly and monthly markets as well as special themed markets adding to the vibrancy of the town.

Itinerary

After joining the coach at your chosen point we head for our destination - Tewkesbury. The drop off point will be on The Crescent, by the Abbey  The driver will advise you of your expected arrival time after they have left their last local departure point. You will have the day at leisure before the coach departs at 16.00hrs to head back to the local area.

TEWKESBURY - With a rich, vibrant history and a beautiful waterside setting, there is plenty for everyone to discover in Tewkesbury. You can take in the stunning scenery by taking a stroll beside the River Severn, or a boat trip along the Avon.

Then head to Tewkesbury Abbey; an imposing feature of the town’s landscape for nearly 900 years. Renowned the world over for its fine Norman tower, ornate 12th Century ceiling and stunning stained glass windows, the Abbey is one of Gloucestershire’s most popular tourist attractions, second only to Gloucester Cathedral.
