New Forest Scenic Drive

After joining the coach at your chosen point we head for our destination - Lyndhurst. The driver will advise you of your expected arrival time after they have left their last local departure point. You will have free time here for refreshments/lunch and time to explore, before we depart onto Lymington for a  short visit until we head back to the local area.

LYNDHURST
Lyndhurst became the natural 'capital' of the New Forest when William the Conqueror established his hunting grounds here. Now there's much to keep you busy, from the museum and exhibition space in the New Forest Centre to shops, pubs and cafes. Don't miss the grave of the original Alice in Wonderland (Alice Liddell, later Hargreaves) in the churchyard too.

LYMINGTON
The Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants.

Lymington High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday which dates back to the 13th century. At the bottom of the High Street, a cobbled road leads down to the Old Town Quay, which is still used by a number of commercial fishing boats. There is often a chance to buy fresh fish on the waterfront. From here you can take a stroll along the waters edge and soak up the atmosphere of this renowned sailing resort.
