Every Tuesday Moreton-in-Marsh hosts the largest open-air street market in the Cotswolds, you will then go on to Burford for free time. Little has changed over the centuries, Burford is popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for its shopping, especially antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops.

Itinerary

After joining the coach at your chosen point we head for our destination - Cotswolds. The driver will advise you of your expected arrival time after they have left their last local departure point. You will be at leisure in both resorts until your departure time from Burford 16.00hrs when we will head back to the local area.

MORETON IN MARSH - A traditional Cotswold Market town with its wide main street and wide grass verges. This is a true market town and Tuesday is market day, with its wide range of stalls people come from far and wide to visit this well established market.  In addition to the market, there are a plethora of antique shops, tea shops and restaurants.
 
There are a number of interesting historic facts and figures associated with Moreton-in-Marsh, not least that, reputedly King Charles I slept at The White Hart Inn in 1642.  The Redesdale Market Hall dominates the main thoroughfare and is still used today for antique fairs and flea markets with its steeply pitched roof  and attractive and distinctive clock turret.
The Curfew Tower is one of the few surviving in Britain and at its base is housed of this tower is the old town lock-up.

BUFORD - Burford’s famous High Street sweeps downhill towards the River Windrush, its three-arched medieval bridge and its impressive church, both sides of the street flanked by an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops.
