From the local area the coach will head to Westonbirt Arboretum. We expect to arrive at 11.30hrs. You will have the day at leisure before the coach departs at 15.30hrs to head back to the local area.
Westonbirt has one of the most spectacular tree collections in the world, is a place to relax
and recharge, a place to learn and a resource for science. The diversity and history that surround Westonbirt and its tree collection is truly astonishing - with every tree providing a memorable story or link to the past or future.
Maples Restaurant is a purpose-built facility, with great views of Silk Wood. There is an indoor seating capacity of around 100, with an extra 200 seats on the sunny decking area.
A good selection of hot and cold beverages (including wine and beers) and home-made cakes and biscuits, is served from 10am to 5pm.
The Plant Centre at Westonbirt is proud to have a reputation for stocking an
extensive range of top quality trees, shrubs and conifers, many of which are
rare or unusual. Their speciality is quite naturally Japanese maples (Acer palmatum)
and maple cultivars, but in addition they offer a varied and interesting seasonal
selection of climbers, perennials and herbs. The friendly and knowledgeable staff
are always on hand to offer expert advice.
