From the local area the coach will head to Staffordshire. We expect to arrive at the NMA at 11.30hrs. You will have the day at leisure to explore the arboretum. The coach will depart at 16.00hrs to head back to the local area.
The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round Centre of Remembrance where you can celebrate and honour the men and women who have served our Nation in many different ways. A spiritually uplifting place which honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our country.
With 150 acres of beautiful woodland and gardens to explore and over 300 unique memorials to see you will be fascinated by the many memorials and the amazing stories and symbolism behind them.
Since planting began in 1997, the National Memorial Arboretum has been a special place honouring those who have served, and continue to serve, our nation in many different ways. Our staff and volunteers look forward to welcoming you.
It’s not a cemetery. It’s a place of life, represented by the 30,000 trees planted here, where older and younger generations alike can wander and wonder.
To help you make the most of your visit guided walks and tours, learning activities, exhibitions, and a restaurant and gift shop are available. An Act of Remembrance, including a silence, is observed daily in the Millennium Chapel at 11am.
There are a wide range of family learning and discovery activities available, including World War I discovery trails, a children’s play and picnic area.
