Every year, Buckingham Palace's summer opening features a special exhibition. This temporary exhibition can only be seen during that year's summer opening. In 2018, the exhibition celebrates the 70th birthday of CharlesPrince of Wales.

You may have a bit of free time before your multimedia audio tour of the State Rooms, have a wander to the front of the palace and enjoy the wonderful frontage of the Palace and ornamental gates.

The State Rooms lie at the heart of the Palace and provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. They are furnished with many of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Van Dyck, sculpture by Canova, exquisite examples of Sevres porcelain, and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.
